Introduction

Ever since I was a young kid, I had always loved bowling. It was an odd fascination I grew up with, from watching the pros on tv, to begging my parents to take me bowling, it was just that one sport that I had always dreamed about. I don’t know where this fascination came from, but I wouldn’t take it back ever. Officially starting my bowling career back in 3rd grade (2010), bowling had been part of my life for a significant amount of time, or in other terms; My Whole Life. I don’t plan on leaving it anytime soon.

Starting out officially in 2010, I began bowling league at Rock River Lanes. This would just be a simple Saturday morning league with not so many people for I did not know how I truly felt about the sport. I finished that season with about an 85 average, and from then on, I knew this was where I wanted to be. After that season I joined in with the rest on the Friday league, and would get my first bowling ball, an Ebonite Maxim plastic ball (Color: Captain Fireball. No joke.). I would then upgrade it 2 years later in 6th grade with my first hooking ball, an Ebonite Cyclone (Green-Yellow/Blue). That ball would be the ball that began my history not only in hooking the ball but would also be my starting ball in the middle school bowling club. A year later, I would find myself in the issue of needing to get some heavier stuff once more, acquiring about 5 bowling balls for my 7th grade season. One of which would lead me to win Middle School State Singles, for my first ever title. That ball would be a Hammer Dark Legend Hybrid.

College

High School would be where things began to become serious. I would end up being 2nd overall in my district Freshman year, following it up with a sweep for the remainder years, with my senior year capping off with a 94% Fill, and approximately 7% above 2nd place. Aside from high school bowling, I was also in the prime of bowling tournaments, having roughly a 210 average in tournaments, and averaging 5th place for the 2017, 18, and 19 seasons. 2020 would be shunted by Covid-19, and most things would close.

Still continuing, College bowling has proven to be quite a challenge for me, where my first season would be cut in half for a transfer from Minnesota State University- Mankato, to Clarke University, where my first half season at Clarke would prove to be well for myself. The 2023-2024 season would be my first full season of bowling, where I would finish 2nd Team All-Conference for the year in Heart of America.
